The University of Chicago Press has partnered with NewSouth Publishing to release Wild Sea in April 2019. ‘Beautifully and powerfully written, Wild Sea will raise a broader awareness and appreciation of the natural and cultural history of this little-known ocean and its emerging importance as a barometer of planetary climate change.’ See the full article here.
Elspeth Menzies, publisher with NewSouth Publishing, sold world English rights (ex Australia and New Zealand) to Wild Sea in June 2018. ‘Menzies told Books+Publishing she met with University of Chicago Press editorial director Alan Thomas at the London Book Fair in April and “things moved very quickly from there”. “We’re delighted – we’ve co-published with them before and they’ve got such a strong list of books about oceans and the relationship between humans and the natural world”, added Menzies.’
